A North Indian flintlock Jezail with an “Afghan” stock completely covered by engraved brass plates. The butt inlaid with triangular mother of pearl plates, European slightly engraved lock with flat forms, c 84 cm long two-stage barrel in calibre c 14 mm with gilded script on the back held by four brass cappucines. The brass plates on the stock are engraved with foliate and on the left side by the lock screws marked 1865.
The iron spotted. The trigger guard a replacement. The brass on the stock damaged by the lock.
