A French Napolonic cavalry sabre modèle de I'An IX - Troupe (1801) without scabbard. The knucklebow is marked 3. L. U. 12. The blade is c 87 cm long with a single broad fuller on each side with a faint makers name on the spine.

The blade spotted.
