A rare helmet pattern 1814 for the King of France's Household Cavalry within the Maison militaire du roi de France with a silver mounted leather body, comb in silver with “raupe”, the front plate with the motto of the sun king NEC PLURIBUS IMPAR. On both sides of the helmet “cockade” with sun and Chin-straps with silver plaques. The small brim is painted green on the inner side and the inner lining is partly preserved.
All silver is dark and patinated, the inner lining damaged.
