Peder Moos (b. Nybøl 1906, d. Bredebro, Tønder 1991)

“Museum table”. Rare coffee table of solid Brazilian rosewood with numerous boxwood inlays. Top inlaid with monogram. Mounted on tapering “drumstick” legs. Signed 1968 and where the model was exhibited in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Trondheim. This example made 1968 by cabinetmaker Peder Moos. H. 57 cm. L. 70,5 cm. W. 52,5 cm.

Correspondence between Peder Moos and the previous owner concerning the creation, payment and care of the table is included.

Model presented at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1942. The same model was exhibited at Nationalmuseet, Stockholm, Sweden in 1943 and at Nordenfjelske Kunstindustrimuseum, Trondheim, Norway in 1952.
