Joseph Christian Lillie (b. Copenhagen 1760, d. Lübeck 1827)

A Danish Louis XVI console of gilt and painted wood with curved profiled top of white marble, the rim decorated with various mascarons, round tapered legs with twisted bands. Denmark, Late 18th century. H. 69 cm. W. 67 cm. D. 49 cm.

Condition

The marble top has hairline cracks. The lower part of the legs is missing. The console has probably been ten cm higher. Marks and scratches. Wear.
