A Danish sterling silver tureen and stand, of oval shape, the tureen with gilt interior and two cast handles, the cover with pierced crown finial, the tureen front engraved with royal monogram for Prince Knud and Princess Caroline Mathilde, the back with the date 8–9-1933 in monogram form, raised on four scroll supports. The dish with domed centre, the rim engraved “Fra Den Danske Store Landsloge” (From the Danish Freemason Guild). Maker A. Michelsen, Copenhagen 1933. Weight 4576 g. L. 38 cm.

Provenance: Hereditary Prince Knud and Hereditary Princess Caroline-Mathilde of Denmark. The tureen and stand were a wedding present for their wedding in 1933. Then their daughter Her Highness Princess Elisabeth to Denmark (1935–2018); her heirs Josephine of Rosenborg, Camilla of Rosenborg and Feodora of Rosenborg.
