The artists Gitte Skovmand og Eva Holm practice “yarnbombing” under the alias of “Violas Værksted” (Viola’s Workshop). Among other things they created a full-sized helicopter for the Art Zone of Roskilde Festival in 2015. Commenting on the Pondus Project the artists say: “It has been amazing working with such a small object. It's been very different from our larger objects such as a full-scale helicopter, car or trailer. We have been inspired by the birthday theme. Even though you, like Pondus, turn 50, it doesn't have to be dull at all. You can still dress up and have a ball.”

All the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will go to the Children & Youth Foundation and UNICEF. Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers will waive its usual fee in connection with the sale.
