Wilhelm Freddie (b. Copenhagen 1909, d. s.p. 1995)

Note: As the secretary and general manager of the “Kunst på Arbejdspladsen” (Art in the Workplace) association, the artist Flemming Rosenfalck established a comprehensive, important and in some ways retrospective collection of Wilhelm Freddie's works. Like the other “Art in the Workplace” exhibitions, the collection of Freddie’s works was shown a number of times at different corporations. Wilhelm Freddie's section had the collector’s designation of ”Exhibition 30“ and included no less than 17 works by Freddie, of which this ”Portrait“ from 1932 was No. 4. In veneration of Flemming Rosenfalck, Freddie painted ”Portrait of the Painter Flemming Rosenfalck" in 1960.
