Louis Marcussen (Ovartaci) (b. Ebeltoft 1894, d. Århus 1985)
Two mirrored surreal compositions, recto et verso. Signed Louis Concales. Watercolour and gouache on paper. Visible size 55×37 cm each.
Provenance: The composition is based on the impressions, which Louis Marcussen had in his room at the hospital in Risskov. Louis Concales was one of the many alter egos which was part of Marcussens identity. Alltough the compositions basically are the same there are small variation in the details, as well as in the different play between light and shadow which understate Marcussens high technical skills.
Examined in frame. Paper with light undulation.
