An 8k gold signet, rectangular base with a carnelian, probably carved with the god Poseidon, signed Jacobson for the Copenhagen engraver David Ahron Jacobson (1753–1812), top in curved design with suspension ring to hang in a chatelaine. Case enclosed. H. 2.5 cm. L. 2.5 cm. (2)

Provenance: The Danish governor Peter von Scholten (1784–1854). Thence by descent to his great-great-great-grandson until today.

Condition

Minimal wear due to age and use.
