A royal Danish fruitwood display cabinet. Back marked “S No. 139” for Sorgenfri Palace and “CA” for King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine. C. 1900. H. 152 cm. W. 87 cm. D. 41 cm.
Provenance: King Christian X of Denmark (1870–1947) and queen Alexandrine (1879–1952). The cabinet was initially a part of the royal couple's furnishing of Sorgenfri Slot near Copenhagen. Sorgenfri served as their residence during the first part of their marriage.
