“The work plays off a presumed recognisability in its hyper realistic depiction of a used hotdog tray, but the work also provides associations to a canvas with abstract, expressive brushstrokes. Hence the straightforward title 'Red and Yellow on White' pointing to the colours of the painting. I often send greetings to other artists and genres in my work, and in this case I had an artist such as Roy Lichtenstein and his 'Brushstroke' artwork in mind. I probably don’t have to point out that I find humour is a liberating approach to much of my artwork”. Christoffer Munch Andersen
