A German IOD 1889 med ca. 84 cm long straight nickel-plated blade in a black painted iron scabbard - on the pommel carved initials, a Prussian artillery officers sabre c 1890–1900 with a slightly curved c 81 cm long blade and a Bavarian officers sabre with a c 74 cm long single edged blade gilded and etched on the upper part with the crowned monogram of King Ludwig on one side and the small Bavarian coat of arms on the other. On the spine the makers name HAST & UHTHOFF DRESDEN.
