Erhard Ratdolt (b. Augsburd 1442, d. 1528)

Rubrics and initials with cont. red colouring throughout. Richly illustrated with woodcuts (incl. repeats and multiple-block scenes, genealogical diagrams, woodcut ornamental initials). A few annotations in old handwriting. Last leaf reinforced. Minor foxing to some leaves. Marginal ink annotations in old handwriting. Bound in a modern binding with old antiphonary leaf over veneer boards. In slipcase.
A 15th century ‘bestseller’, the Fasciculus temporum (“Little bundles of time”) was printed no fewer than 31 times before 1500 and was translated into French, German and Dutch.
