Viggo Pedersen (b. Copenhagen 1854, d. Roskilde 1926)
An overgrown path winding its way through the fields, summer. Signed Viggo Pedersen 1892. Tempera on canvas laid on panel. 66×94 cm.
On the reverse inscribed by the painter's son, the painter Stefan Viggo Pedersen (in Danish): “Tempera paint. Do not clean with water”.
According to inscriptions on the reverse exhibited Kunstforeningen “Kunstnernes mindeudstilling”, 1926 and Den Frie Udstilling, 1892.
Provenance: Bruun Rasmussen auction 760, 2006 no. 1144.
