A late Gustavian giltwood console with Älvdalen porphyry top, the lower part carved with dolphins on rectangular base. Stockholm, early 19th century. H. 84 cm. W. 79 cm. D. 34 cm.

Älvdalen porphyry works was in the period 1818–1856 owned by the Swedish royal family. Among important works from Älvdalen is the Rosendal Palace vase and the sarcophagus of Karl XIV Johan in The Riddarholm Church, Stockholm.
