Hans J. Wegner (b. Tønder 1914, d. Gentofte 2007)

Free-standing beech cabinet with roll-front door. Mahogany plinth and handle, inside with six wide pull-out trays. Manufactured by Planmøbel, Aarhus in 1940s. H. 76. W. 82. D. 41 cm.

Provenance: Presumably Aarhus City Hall, but without inventory number.

The office furniture for Aarhus City Hall was only made of beech and mahogany. Later, the cabinets were part of Planmøbel's office series, but made of oak with steel handles.

Condition

Minor wear due to age and use. Minor marks and scratches. Nuance difference on top and sides. Key included.
