An Uzbek 19th century belt, probably Bokahara, decorated with 19 finely made solid silver and nielloed plates, the two large clasps in chased silver both has a fine decoration consisting of stars and leaves on a niello background, the same motif is on the bulbous S-shaped plates of which not one is exactly the same but very close. The plates are mounted on a c. 10.5 cm. wide leather belt covered in green velvet. 19th century. L. c. 110 cm.
