Carl-Henning Pedersen (b. Copenhagen 1913, d. s.p. 2007)

Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist in 1943 by the present owner's grandfather, Hans Odin Sylvester Pedersen, in exchange for a sack of potatoes and a sack of carrots. Mr. Pedersen owned a market garden and car workshop in Ballerup outside Copenhagen. The painting has since been inherited in the family and not previously offered for sale. The painting was presented to the artist in 2001–02 where the work was also signed on the reverse.
