A large German glass goblet, richly facetted on bowl and stem, engraved with draped couple standing in front of balustrade (friendship allegory), reverse with inscription. Saxony, c. 1730–1740. H. c. 22 cm.
Acquired in Copenhagen.
Provenance: Olaf Dalsgaard-Olsen (1903–1988), director of Nordisk Film. Thereafter Jørgen Schou-Christensen (1937–2025) former museum inspector at Kunstindustrimuseet (today Designmuseet/The Danish Designmuseum).
