Carl Bojanowski (, St. Petersburg mid-19th century)

A near pair of Russian Neo Rococo silver candlesticks, richly cast and engraved with insects, fruits, flowers and rocailles, bases with pricked monogram. One candlestick Carl Bojanowski, marked with the Imperial Warrant as purveyor to the Imperial Russian Court, assayer Alexander Nikolaievich Mitin 18?4. The other candlestick Carl Bojanowski, assayer Dmitri Ilich Tverskoi 1839. Both with St. Petersburg town mark, 84 standard. Weight 1,057 g. H. 18 and 18.5 cm. (2).
