Andromeda Syndrome is a rare mental disorder, which among other things, is characterized by fatigue and hallucinations. Stepan Chubaev illustrates the pathology of the disorder, in which experienced patients describe it as a physical struggle of color and form in abstract spaces.
The jury has chosen Stepan Chubaev’s project Andromeda Syndrome for its creative yet sensitive approach to the portrayal of a challenging subject created in bold visual language.
