A gilt wood figure of the Buddha “calling for rain” with both arms straight along at his sides, stands upon a straight throne. Raised on a more recent base. Lan Xang style. Laos. 19th century. H. 75/80 cm.

Wormholes. Large part of the throne is missing, parts of the wood are partially eroded. Shows signs of age and wear.
