Jérôme Brierre: A signed b/w photograph of the French actress and model Brigitte Bardot in the company of Pablo Picassso (1881–1973). Photo size 25×20 cm. Frame size 43×33 cm.
It was LIFE Magazine that in the spring of 1956 came up with the idea to bring the then 22 year old Brigitte Bardot - who had already made 17 movies at the time - together with 75 year old Pablo Picasso in a photo reportage showing the two together in the artist's home and studio in Vallauris near Cannes, Southern France. The background for the decision was actually quite simple. LIFE believed - correctly it turned out - that such an article would sell many copies.
This is a modern reproduction of a photograph from 1956. The photograph bears the authentic signature of the French actress Brigitte Bardot. Certificate of authenticity from JSA included. JSA is one of the most reputable authorities in the world in regards to valuation and authentication of signatures.
