A Royal tiepin, of bow form, adorned with the letters C M for Prince Carl and Princess Maud of Denmark in red translucent enamel on guilloched ground, set with seneral rose-cut diamonds, mounted in silver and gold. Apparently no maker's mark. Denmark, c. 1900. L. 7 cm. W. 1.5 cm.

An Roayl oval silver-gilt medallion, decorated with purple translucent enamel on guilloched ground. Presumably Norway. Early 20th century. In open form with two apertures. H. (excl. loop) 2 cm). (2).

Prince Carl and Princess Maud were appointed King Haakon VII and Queen Maud of Norway in 1905. The tiepin was presumably a present to the gentlemen, who participated in their wedding in 1896. The medallion is a present from King Haakon VII and Queen Maud to their relatives in Denmark.

Provenance: Descendants of King Frederik VIII of Denmark until today.

Condition

Minimal wear due to age.
