Axel Salto (b. Copenhagen 1889, d. Frederiksberg 1961)
A round stoneware vase modelled with ears of rye. Decorated with brown glaze with grey elements. Signed monogram for L. Lindahl and marked Salto, C802. Made and marked by Bing & Grøndahl. Made 1932. H. 19.7 cm.
The present vase is a collaboration between Axel Salto who has designed the vase and its motif and L. Lindahl who has composed and been in charge of the glaze. According to archives of Bing & Grøndahl's firing report the vase is made in 1932.
