Ted Moore: An original b/w press or still photograph of the Scottish actor Sir Sean Connery (b. 1930) in his role as James Bond in the movie “Thunderball” from 1965. Photo size 25×20.5 cm. Frame size 43×33 cm.
“Thunderball” from 1965 is the fourth Eon Productions movie about Agent 007, the man who has a British government license to kill - based upon his own judgment.
In the beginning of the movie the terror organisation SPECTRE steals two hydrogen bombs from a RAF Avro Vulcan plane and demands a ransom, otherwise they will blow them up. Bond suspects that the lethal cargo may have been brought to the Bahamas - until 1973 a British colony - where SPECTRE member Emilio Largo has his base. Largo, however, whose mistress Domino soon is being seduced by Bond, is not very excited about being examined, something that finds its expression in numerous killing attempts - all in vain, though.
This is an original b/w press or still photograph from 1965. Minor parts of the front slightly discoloured and with a hole from a drawing pin. Back with remains of glue. Back also somewhat yellowed due to ageing.
