Three miniature terracotta votive theatrical masks in the form of a “Slave” with striated backswept hair and beard, pierced eyes and mouth, “Old Woman” with curly Flavian hairdo, furrowed forehead and pierced eyes and a “Comedian/actor” with raised mono-brows and a pointed beard, protruding eyes. South Italy (Magna Graecia). C. 3rd century BC-1st century AD. And a mask of a hetaera with curly hair wearing a fillet. L. c. 5–7 cm. (4)

Provenance: A private collection formed in the late 1950s-1960s. Danish private collection. Acquired at Christies 29th October 2003, lot 74.
