John F. Kennedy (b. 1917, d. 1963)

Impressive collection of material regarding to John F. Kennedy: John. F. Kennedy handwritten notes on the back of a four-page annotated copy of a 1959 schedule of appointments and speaking arrangements spanning the timeframe when he was commencing his active pursuit for the office for President. The verso of the fourth page contains a list of notes in Senator Kennedy’es hand in blue ball-point ink along with a typical Kennedy doddle of boxes and arrows. The schedule primarily covers a four month period from September to December, but some dates notations continue into the year 1961 with additions added by hand (not Kennedy's hand). Contents typed on onionskin paper with notations written in both pencil and ink. Moreover the collection incl. 375 books, magazines, newspapers (160 x Time/Life magazines from 60s and 70s relating to JFK / Kennedy family + 84 hard back books: JFK, Bobby Kennedy, Kennedy family + 90 paperbacks; JFK, Assassination, Campaigns, Bobby Kennedy + 31 x original newspapers, mostly from 1963 regarding assassination (some in Danish). + 14 x LP records from 1960s). The collection has signs of wear.

Enclosed rights to screenplay (written by Howard Knowles) on JFK’s affair with Danish journalist Inger Arvad, on a USB key. Not published. + A colour print of a portrait of John F. Kennedy. On veneer. Framed. 78×59 cm.

Provenance: The collection has been created over the last 40 years by editor and journalist Howard Knowles. The John. F. Kennedy schedule with handwritten notes is acquired from the New York Auction House ‘Guernseys’ ‘Kennedy Era Auction’ back in 2017.
