A French parcel-gilt zinc mantel clock, surmounted by allegorical scenery with lady and begging boy, the base richly decorated with ornamentation, white enamel dial with Roman numerals. Signed Laforesterie Bte. à Bordeaux. First half of the 19th century. H. 45 cm.
Condition
Missing porcelain? panels at the base. Cracks at the reverse. The back bent with repairs along the base. The back only partly attached to the front. Pendulum and key is enclosed. Wear due to age and use. No guarantee of the function of the clock work.
