The portrait of the wife can be found in the book: “Johan Frederik Nicolai Vermehren” written by Th. Faaborg. 1st part, published by Foreningen for National Kunst. Copenhagen, 11. Hagerups forlag.

The paintings was a gift for their daughter Olivia Holm.

Condition

The canvas is relined. Crackles. Retouches. One repair and damages after humidity on the painting with the wife.
