The United States Naval Observatory (USNO) in Washington D.C. is one of the oldest scientific agencies in the United States, with a primary mission to produce Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) for the United States Navy and the United States Department of Defense.
This is an original black-and-white press photograph from 1960. The photograph has a broken corner (upper left). Furthermore underlinings with a pen as well as a few superficial marks. The back has slightly darkened. The back bears publication date and UPI-stamp.
