Niclas Meunier, attributed
A pair of large Swedish Rococo giltwood mirrors both with mirrored borders and carved with rocailles and foliage. Stockholm, c. 1760. H. 177 cm. W. 70 cm. (2)
The shape of the mirrors indicates that they were probably made by the French-born mirror maker Niclas (Nils) Meunier (b. 1730, d. 1797) who was master in Stockholm from 1754–97 and royal mirror maker from 1769 onwards.
