Johan Pieter Kroese (b. Wuppertal 1702, d. Amsterdam 1778)

A Dutch Burr walnut longcase clock, gilt brass dial with open corner ornaments, chapter ring with Arabic and Roman numerals, matted centre with seconds dial and calendar aperture, arched top with moon disc in the foliate engraved arch, the case with arched moulded cornice and foliate fretwork panel, shaped trunk door with gilt-mounted lenticle, raised on ball feet. Signed 'J P Kroese, Amsterdam'. C. 1750. H. 240 cm. W. 51 cm. D. 28 cm.
