“PK 15”. Early example. Steam bent beech armchair, seat with woven cane. Designed 1979. This example manufactured 1980 by Gimla Møbelfabrik, Sweden for E. Kold Christensen.

PK 15 belongs to the last pieces designed by Poul Kjærholm. It illustrates his return to the wooden material in his last years. The PK 15 is in many ways a counterpart to the PK 12 armchair in steel from 1962. The production of the chair in steam bent beech was, however, very difficult, and the chair was later made in precompressed ash wood by PP-furniture.
