The photo studio 'Studio Naranjo' in Calzada de Reina 317 in Havana's Arroyo Naranjo district, to which the photograph's back stamp refers, was active around the time of the Cuban Revolution and specialized in photographs of guerrilla leaders, especially Castro, and his rebel movement, and later party, 'Movimiento 26 de julio', also known as 'M-26–7' ('26 July Movement').
This is an original b/w propaganda photograph from 1959–1960, which shows normal signs of handling. Upper frame list with small damage.
