Hunter case pocket watch of 14k gold gifted from Count Preysing Lichtenegg-Moos. Chronograph and quarter repeater. Lever escapement and crown-winding. Dust cap of 14k gold. Ø 59.5 mm. The watch weighs approx. 133 g. 1900s.
The watch was gifted by Count Preysing Lichtenegg-Moos to captain Schmidt after an accident at sea onboard the steamer Aarhus in 1909. Captain Schmidt saved the count as well as the rest of the men onboard. The watch has both crest and monogram engraved on the watch - one on each side. The watch comes directly from a descendant to the captain.
Wear due to age and use. The watch works, but we do not guarantee for the functionality. The chronograph cannot be stopped. The repeater works but is in need of adjustment.
