A Russian Karelian birch veneered plateau centrepiece, circular design, top with a fluted and ribboned silver band, under which Art Nouveau “Stil Modern” mountings in the form of two scrolling circles and two stylized swans, the latter set with cabochon eye garnets. Carl Fabergé in Moscow, marked with the Imperial Russian Warrant as purveyor to the Imperial Russian Court, assayer Ivan Sergeievich Lebedkin 1896–1908, 84 standard. H. 3.5 cm. Diam. 39 cm.
