A Roman marble relief fragment with two theater masks, a bearded male and a female with curly hair, placed opposite each other on a chest or box with keyhole, hair or ribbons beneath the masks spill over the side, over the heads a wreath of ivy is engraved in light relief. Mounted. Roman Imperial Period, c. 1st-2nd century AD. H. 27 cm. W. 12.5 cm.

Provenance: Danish private collection. Acquired at Bruun Rasmussen Kunstauktioner in 2013, auction 1350, lot 1661.
