Collection of 26 photographs by the Danish archeologist and ethnologist Erik Holtved from the 6th Thule Expedition to Greenland, c. 1931. Vintage gelatin silver prints, not stamped or signed. Sheet sizes c. 9×12 cm.
This interesting collection contains nummerous images of the great Polar scientist Knud Rasmussen and gives an insight into the life of him and his crew memebers as well as local inuit people from Greenland. The photographs are mostly by the Danish ethnologist Erik Holtved taken in 1931 during the 6th Thule Expedition.
