A Danish pewter “Glückrörchen”, lid engraved with Roman numerals and mounted with brass arrow. Maker Joachim Scherfenberg, citizenship Helsingør 1767. H. 19,5 cm.

I de gamle håndværkerlaug var spil om penge forbudt, men spil om drikkevarer var tilladt. Urskiven på låget blev brugt til at bestemme hvem der skulle give den næste omgang, deraf navnet “Glückrörchen”.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Minor, dents, scratches and marks.
