L. A. Ring (b. Ring 1854, d. Roskilde 1933)
“Vinterlandskab. Tilhøjre er en Gangsti frigjort for Sne ved højt opskovlede Snemure. Tilvenstre løber Landevejen jævnsides med Gangstien, der buer om mod Baggrunden, hvor Roskildefjorden ses blaa og bleg. Langs vejene høje unge ved Pæle afstivede Allétræer. Graa, tung Luft.” Winter landscape. On the right a footpath is cleared of snow between high walls of shovelled snow. On the left runs a country road alongside the footpath, which curves towards the background, where Roskilde Fjord is seen blue and pale. Along the road and path are tall, young avenue trees fastened to stakes. Grey, heavy atmosphere. Signed and dated L. A. Ring 1915. Oil on canvas. 24×40 cm.
