Original b/w press photograph of New Zealand mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary (1919–2008) and his companion, Nepalese Tenzing Norgay Sherpa (1914–1986), on top of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953. Back with news telegram dated July 20, 1969. Photograph and telegram later glued on cardboard sheet. Red painted wooden frame with double glazing. Visible size 25×20 cm. Frame size 26×21 cm.
