“PH-8/6" The Tennis Lamp. A rare large pendant. Chromed metal socket house. White lacquered metal shades, top shade's middle section with multilayer opaline glass. Designed 1927. This example manufactured 1961–1962 by Louis Poulsen. Diam. 85 cm. H. 47 cm.

Provenance: Vestervangsskolen, Randers.

This pendant was made to order 1961–1962, in a small edition for the gymnasium at Vestervangsskolen, by request of architect M.A.A. Niels Ebdrup, who was the project architect. When fluorescent lights replaced the lamps in the 1980s, this very lamp was one of the few preserved.
