A Danish Baroque silver peg tankard, embossed with flowers, cover engraved with alliance coat of arms for the noble couple Frederik (Knudsen) Rodsteen (1639–1674) to Elkær, Ellinggaard, Aas and Kirsten (Steensdatter) Beck (1644–1719), married in 1666, ball-shaped thumb-piece and supports. Maker Thomas Hansen Pop, Aalborg 1702–1729. Weight 757 gr. H. 17.5 cm.
The country houses Elkær, Ellinggaard and Aas are all situated in or nearby Aalborg district. The alliance coat of arms must be engraved after 1702, presumably on order of the widow in memory of her husband.
