Addressed to “Radiotelegrafist Leo Christiansen, ELLA Ø, Østgrønland”. THIS IS THE ONLY KNOWN PARCELCARD WITH PAKKEPORTO-stamps SENT TO ELLA Ø. Ella Ø is a very small island located deep in the Kong Oscar Fjord on the east coast of Greenland. The well known expedition leader Lauge Koch build a station on Ella Ø and named it “Ørnereden” (Eagels Nest). The reciever Leo Christiansen is reg. as a “seal-hunter” (they often also workedvas telegraphists) and this card is also the only klnown parcelcard with pakkeporto-issues sent to a hunter. NEWLY DISCOVERED PARCELCARD AND AN EXHIBITION ITEM AOF THE HIGEST GRADE. The left 20 øre with folds made before attacment to the card. [ 7,9,11 ] [ ✉ ]
