Viggo Pedersen spent the summers 1883–1884 in Sora with the painters Kristian Zahrtmann, Joakim Skovgaard and Theodor Philipsen. In 1884, 1885 and 1886 he exhibited several paintings at Charlottenborg from Sora and the village's vicinity.
Provenance: The Hjorth family, well-known violin builders. The present owner's grandfather was married to Astrid Hjorth. In the family till today.
