Felix Philippi (1851–1921) was a German journalist, writer and director. He directed and staged both Ibsen's plays “Gengangere” (Ghosts) and “Rosmersholm” on Theater Augsburg.

The Norwegian playwright and poet Henrik Ibsen (1828–1906) created 26 plays and one volume of poetry. He is noted for his nationalistic spirit and for exploring Europe's social problems during the 1800s. Critics both past and present have praised his realistic approach to drama and his well-developed characters. He is best known for creating strong female characters in dramas such as “A Doll's House” and “Hedda Gabler”.
