Princess Thyra (1853–1933) was the youngest daughter of King Christian IX (1818–1906) and Queen Louise (1817–1898) of Denmark and married Ernst August of Hanover in northern Germany (also Prince of Great Britain) in 1878. The couple lived in Gmunden, Austria, as the Kingdom of Hanover had ceased to exist when it was incorporated into Prussia in 1866.
Photograph and signature faded. Back severely yellowed due to ageing. Frame with flaking. Cross missing on top of crown.
