Kamikaze attacks, employed by Japan during World War II, involved suicide pilots intentionally crashing their aircrafts into enemy ships. This desperate method of warfare aimed to inflict maximum damage and to demoralize Allied forces during battles. Photographs showing actual kamikaze crashings are very rare.
